One of the
best things about
receiving the
haskamahos,
approvals for my
books, was getting to
know these Tzaddikim
more personally.
Some people are of
the opinion that
anyone can get an haskamah but let me
tell you
differently. I
worked very hard for
each of these and I
discussed many
points with the
Tzaddikim before
they granted me
their approval. The
son of the
Nikolsberg Rebbe,
who just visited me
in Tzfat with his
fathers haskamah,
told me that he
asked the Rebbe what
was inside the books
and the Rebbe
explained him all
its contents. The
Biala Rebbe told me
that his gaby read
him the entire book.
Rav Malkiel told me
that he finished
reading what I sent
him while on the way
to a chasana in New
York. Though it was
quite interesting
that when I sat down
with him the first
time, he read 20
pages of footnotes
instead of the
content and
afterwards we
discussed some of
the sefarim I
quoted. He was quite
familiar with
chassidish sefarim,
even those from
students of Rebbe's.
I was impressed.
